###NIS USER CONFIGURATION###
rpm -qa yp*
yum install yp*
useradd craig
passwd craig
useradd kevin
passwd kevin
mkdir -p /nhome/craig
mkdir -p /nhome/kevin
usermod -d /nhome/craig/ craig
usermod -d /nhome/kevin/ kevin
chown craig.craig /nhome/craig
chown kevin.kevin /nhome/kevin
vi /etc/passwd
cd /etc/skel/
ll -a
cp .bash* /nhome/craig/
cp .bash* /nhome/kevin/
cd
ll -a /nhome/craig/
ll -a /nhome/kevin/

###Configuring NFS SERVER###
vi /etc/exports
---> /nhome *(rw,sync,no_root_squash)
service portmap restart
service nfs restart
exportfs -t
exportfs -v
exportfs -a

###NIS SERVER CONFIGURATION###
vi /var/yp/Makefile
---> line:109
all:passwd group hosts shadow
# rpc services netid
# netsrp shadow
vi /etc/sysconfig/network
HOSTNAME=server.example.com
NISDOMAIN=server.example.com
domainname
domainname server.example.com
service ypserv restart
cd /etc/skel/
/usr/lib/yp/ypinit -m
--> next host add: server.example.com
next host add: example.com
<ctrl+D>
ls /var/yp/
op: binding,server.example.com,Makefile
service ypserv restart
ifconfig
service network restart
showmount -e
tailf /var/log/messages

###NIS CLIENT CONFIGURATION###
rpm -qa ypbind*
rpm -qa autofs*

vim /etc/auto.master

service autofs restart
