Network Sharing

Sir,
I want to share files from one computer to another computer, they r connected thro LAN.
How to do network sharing in ubuntu/linux?
Is there anything to install for that?

You can do the network share by using scp command.
#scp -r source_address Destination_address
eg :
#scp -r 192.168.1.20:/root/dir /root/
or you can configure something called NFS.

Thanks for your reply sir.
I tried. But i got an error as:
connection refused.
one pc's ip address is starting with 192.______
and another's ip address is starting with 10.______
Is this the reason for the problem?
But ping is working(it transfered and received packets successfully)

i tried by changing static ip., that also no worth.
