How to Do FTP

#yum search vsftpd
#rpm -qa| grep vsftpd
#rpm -ql vsftpd
#yum intall vsftpd
#chkconfig --list vsftpd
#chkconfig --level 35 vsftpd on
#service vsftpd status
#service vsftpd restart
#ps -ef| grep ftp
#vim /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf
#getenforce
#setenforce 0
#service vsftpd restart
#ftp 192.168.1.188
<anonymous
ftpuser> --> no need to set up a seperate password for ftpuser
<just create a normal user named "ftpuser" and normal password >

<once logged in type "help" for more option in ftp envi>

Check firewall
Check iptables
Check Selinux

#man vsftpd.conf --->banner,permission,restrict useraccess,

##with selinux
#setsebool -P ftp_home_dir=1
If you want ftp to allow users access to their home directories you need to turn on the ftp_home_dir boolean: "setsebool -P ftp_home_dir=1"
