How to do Auto SSH

Post  Admin on Mon Oct 05, 2009 12:43 am

How to login to other linux machine without actually typing the root password
For this you should know the root password for the remote machine that you want to loggin

1.Create a public/private Key
root(server)$ ssh-keygen
<enter> <enter >
root(server)$ ssh-copy-id -i ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub <user@remotehost>
<enter root password>
root(server)$ ssh user@remotehost

if you get an error msg like
"sorry, you must have a tty to run sudo"
then check
$ vim /etc/sudoers --> # Defaults requiretty
